Silent Protector

This was a quick sketch done at an Artist Jam hosted by my friend Gargoyle. Decided since it was our first Art Jam together I would throw a little doodle together as a demo. A small sample of one of my digital art techniques that is better called "organized chaos" with a netbook and my Wacom tablet. How the piece starts out with no real artistic structure, shape, or form, and over the course of the drawing develops into a more elaborate and detailed sketch.

2009 has been an interesting here and there is a lot of things I am currently working on that hasn't made it to youtube or anywhere on the web. Hoping in the coming month to give more details on some pet projects of mine that will change my brand and give people something to look forward to. Local artist meetups like our Art Jams have been a huge boon towards those goals.

The VFW 2009 Car Show

Few weeks ago I got called out by one of my clients Shawn Ealy to cover some work done at the VFW 2009 Car Show and check out some wicked classic cars.

"my dream ride"

Wasn't shortly after I arrived Shawn got drafted into some work and I was able to capture it from start to finish. Needless to say after filming is when I realized that just as Shawn had done his work in two separate parts on the same car, I myself would have to do the same by making two separate videos.

"Client's Pin Striping Gone Dangerous"

Suffice to say it was the start to an eventful week with a little bit of video from the Las Vegas First Friday and a few Artist events in downtown Las Vegas. I had the pleasure of meeting and reconnecting with quite a few talented individuals I hope to video blog at later dates.

gRiMz Witch

About a week or so before Halloween I had shown up at our weekly Art Jam in Henderson somewhat in the seasonal spirit. That day I created three works with my previous post "Jack" being the first and soon after this Witch piece. Even though I had the Jack image in my head for a little over the week I was intending it to be a art demo for my sister-in-law. But this particular image came to me at the Art Jam as a gentle nudge for me to return back to the original and darker aspects of my creations.

Suffice to say it was a valient effort yet if memories serve me correctly it honestly is not as dark as I am capable of. Perhaps that was lost through many years of fundamental arts education and change but someday I hope to get that edge back.

gRiMz Jack-o-Lantern

"Jack"
Piece was actually created about a week before Halloween but unfortunately I came down with a horrible cold shortly after. Was a demo I was intending to draw for sometime to show a form of negative painting as it were.

The Making of Jack on Youtube

This is actually the first of 3 art pieces made that evening at our weekly art jam as I hope to post the other two shortly.

Off With His Head

I actually shot this footage a few months back but unfortunately was tied up till recently to complete it and upload it. So in one week people at FairyTales get to view two guest artists and I hope many more in the 702 will step up to the plate. For this weekend I am pleased to present again the work of Jska and her "Off With His Head" painting complete with video.

More of Jska's work can be viewed at her own blog at http://jskaphobe.blogspot.com/

Lieara's Sharpie Body Art

(Lieara's Sharpie Body Art)

As one of Lieara's art pieces during our artist jam last weekend , she decided to take on doing her impression of a full back tattoo piece in sharpie of some art she admired. Surprisingly enough she was able to not only take on the challenge, but complete the whole piece in under 15 minutes as I filmed the process.
