gRiMz Sharpie Dragon Attack on Dirt Bike

(The client Casey and his finished dirt bike art)

Starting off our art jam last weekend where a few of us come together just to do as many different types of visuals art that  we can, my friend Casey had asked that I deck out the number plate on his new pit bike with something wicked. I have had this certain style of dragon illustration in my mind for years and have dabbled with it on and off, so I decided to let it breathe a little on Casey's bike.

After Casey washed and sanded the number plate to remove all excess oils from the surface of the plastic, out came the Sharpie markers, black, red, and metallic silver for a little special trick I came up with awhile back. In a few hours I had finished the Dragon illustration and felt it was time to hand it off to another artist for lettering to make it a collaborative piece.

(Casey's Fiancée Lieara adding the Kanji lettering after I drew in the Dragon

After the Dragon was finished in sharpie the tag off of the piece went to Casey's fiancée, another friend of mine Lieara to throw in some kanji lettering.

(Final Dragon Art)

The final original art piece... breaking all the rules in using and abusing just your regular Sharpie markers..no paint required.
